Our Quest
The World Wide Web, the internet, that information superhighway we find ourselves surfing for most of our day, whatever you call it, being online can be really cool! However, it can also make it incredibly hard to create genuine, real-world connections.
Here at Promise You’ll Write, we have one simple quest: to encourage people to log off, put that phone down, and connect with people in the real world. Our hope is that our greeting cards help people engage with each other in real life.
The Architects Behind The Brand
Lucy & Anna
Meet Anna and Lucy, the masterminds behind Promise You'll Write. They have both grown up with the internet. Recently, however, they began to notice a problem. The constant consumption of online content left them feeling mentally exhausted!
They sought out a way to connect with others that didn’t require being online. Thus began the journey of creating Promise You’ll Write, a fully illustrated greeting card brand.

The beginning
Taking our quest into consideration, we wanted to create something an eye catching and fun. A letter-pressed illustrated card brand just made sense.
Anna and Lucy got to work brainstorming what our cards would look like and quickly settled on doing capsules!
Why Capsules?
The main reason is pretty simple. Capsules allow us to explore all the different aesthetics, visuals, and themes we wish while staying true to our brand's quest! The sky is the limit.
It also gives our customers a new and exciting style to look forward to every quarter. Variety is the spice of life!
How It's Made
Every Promise You'll Write card is hand printed on 100% cotton paper using a Heidelberg Platen Letterpress. Cards are then packaged by our lovely and hardworking fulfillment team.
Everything in our office, from concept to creation, is made by humans.
